Get started with Bekome: a simple step-by-step guide
Bekome is the reading plan and community that walks you through the whole Bible in a year — five days a week, weekends free for catching up. Here's how to start today. It takes about three minutes.

Already reading with us? Choose your week
During setup, choose "I'm already reading", then pick the week you're actually on. Before it saves, you'll see exactly how many weeks and portions get marked complete, so you can check it first.
Picked the wrong one? Open Settings → Your reading week any time and set it right. Everything re-syncs, and nothing you ticked yourself is lost.
Brand new? Choose "I'm starting fresh" and begin at week 1.
Say hello in the Bekome communityStart reading
- 1
Open bekome.io on your phone
Use Chrome on Android, or Safari on iPhone. Everything works in the browser — there's nothing to download first.
- 2
Create your account
Tap Start your 7-day free trial, then sign up with your email or with Google. No card needed.
- 3
Answer the short setup questions
Nine quick questions about where you are in your walk. They shape your plan, and you can change your answers later in Settings.

Already reading with us? Pick the week you're on
One of the questions asks whether you've been reading with the community already. Choose "I'm already reading", then scroll down on that same screen and select the week you're currently on.
Every week before the one you pick is logged as complete for you automatically — on time, not late — so nothing you've already read is lost, and your dashboard opens on the right portion.
If you're a brand new reader, choose "I'm starting fresh" and you'll simply begin at week 1. Nothing else to do.
- 5
Choose your track
Community track — you read the same portion as everyone else, on the community calendar. Best if you want company.
Personal track — the plan starts from your signup date and moves at your pace.
- 6
Read today's portion and tick it
Your dashboard shows today's reading. Tap it to open the reader, choose your translation, and tick the box when you're done. That's the whole daily habit.
- 7
Turn on reminders
In Settings, allow notifications and set the hour you want your nudge. You'll get one gentle reminder a day, and on weekends only if something is still open.
Install the app on your phone
Installing puts Bekome on your home screen with its own icon, opens it full screen, and makes notifications more reliable. It uses almost no storage.
Android (Chrome)
- Open bekome.io in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap Add to home screen or Install app.
- Confirm with Install. The Bekome icon appears on your home screen.
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open bekome.io in Safari (this won't appear in Chrome on iPhone).
- Tap the share icon — the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. Open Bekome from that icon from now on.
Bekome is also coming to the App Store and Google Play soon. Installing now means nothing is lost — your reading, streak and notes stay with your account.
One thing to skip for now
Please don't use Ask Bobby yet. We're finishing work on it this week and will let you know the moment it's ready. Everything else — the plan, the reader, your week view, and the community rhythm — is ready for you today.
